WAIT is a project of the Washington AIDS International Foundation, a tax-exempt nonprofit educational foundation, of 501(c)(3) status. All donations are tax-deductible. Donations made by check or online transfer will receive a letter of acknowledgement for tax records.
WAIT is totally funded by the team's fundraising, and by private donations.
"What does this money go to?
As all WAIT members are volunteers, WAIT uses 100% of donations for actual outreach, including:
- Educational presentations in schools
- HIV prevention performances at your event
- Training teens in peer-to-peer education techniques
- Service learning program for college-age youth
- International training of new teams overseas
- Outreach through website and electronic tools
- Educational video production
- Music production

The Washington AIDS International Teens is a group of young people that use breakdance, dance, singing, skits, and other talents to teach about HIV/AIDS. WAIT does presentations and performances in schools, churches, health fairs, community events etc. The WAIT Team lives the message of abstinence before faithful marriage or lifetime partnership as our 100% best way of stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS worldwide.
